Cerner has taken a great step to solve RPM and EHR integration. One of the drawbacks of RPM is the need for analysing and applying the collected data to the EHR, but Cerner seems to have found out an elegant solution to this by partnering up with one of the secure data collection agencies. Qualcomm collects the data, transmits it directly to the Cerner Millennium EHR via Cerners’s connectivity platform CareAware. Another drawback of RPM is that it is dependent on the connectivity parameters the patient is accustomed to, but this partnership also solves that issue. This entire partnership has made Cerner’s RPM platform a turkey solution and it has ensured that patients in need of continuous care can always reach their provider in the safest way regardless of the pandemic. Continuous data transmission, data security, EHR integration and so much more has been accomplished by this partnership.
