Aurora Health plans to double revenue

Milwaukee Business Journal in a report featuring Advocate Aurora Health  states that the 28-hospital system with dual headquarters in Milwaukee and Downers Grove, Illinois have plans to more than double their revenue by 2025.

At the J.P.Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco, the company disclosed that it plans to meet its goals through acquisition and mergers of healthcare systems, health insurers and other healthcare products, terming their initiative as a “bold new strategy”.

With 74,000 employees, and more than 2 million patients, Advocate Aurora expected to end the fiscal year in 2019 with a revenue of $12.8 billion. By 2025, the  company has an established goal of reaching $27 billion, it also has plans to increase the patient quotient it serves to about 10 million.

By buying hospitals and health systems, Advocate Aurora has plans to become a “multimarket consolidator. It wants to introduce new consumer products by creating or acquiring a health and wellness business, and simultaneously consolidate with new health plans.

Advocate Aurora spokesman Adam Mesirow told the Milwaukee Business Journal that their bold new strategy will ensure that their organization is well positioned for a strong and healthy future, so that they can lead the change and fulfill their purpose of helping more people live well.
