6% revenue growth reported by Cerner in 2019

According to a Feb 4 report, Cerner, a Missouri based EHR vendor posted a full-year revenue of  $5.7 billion for 2019. It’s up 6 percent from the previous year.

Five important aspects of Cerner’s financial performance for the 2019 fourth quarter and full year that ended Dec.28, 2019 have to be understood

$1.37 billion

Cerner also reported a 6 percent increase in fourth quarter revenue for the year at $1.44 billion. During the same period in 2018 the revenue reported was $1.37 billion. 

$1.67 billion

The fourth quarter bookings at $1.67 billion exceeded the company’s expectations in 2019.

$6.7 billion

The full-year 2019 bookings posted by Cerner as reported was $5.9 billion, lower than the  $6.7 billion reported in 2018. The decline was attributed by the company in the type of contr

 The predictions of the company for its first quarter of 2020 revenue is estimated to be between $1.42 billion and $1.5 billion.

 Cerner expects its full-year revenue in 2020 to hover around $5.73 billion and $5.98 billion.
